Retired Chattanooga Firefighter Was Also 1 Of 1st Paramedics

Stephen A. Rose Sr., 64, of Red Bank, passed from this earth on Sunday, October 8, 2017.

He was a retired firefighter with the Chattanooga Fire Department and held the honor of being one of the first paramedics to serve Chattanooga.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Gene and Ella Rose and his sister, Bethann Rose.

Left to mourn him are his sons, Dusty (Kristen) Rose and Evan (Teri) Rose; brother, Hans (Casey) Rose; his sister, Kaye Rose (Paul Camp); and an impending granddaughter, Emersyn Rose.

The family will receive friends at Northside Presbyterian Church, 923 Mississippi Ave., on Sunday, Oct. 15, from 2-5 p.m.

For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to a local public school music program in Steve’s honor.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
