Florence Arine Merciers, 92, of Whitwell, gained her heavenly wings on Oct. 10, 2017, surrounded by her family and friends. She attended the Gateway Worship Center Church of God.
Mrs. Merciers was preceded in death by her husband Jim Merciers; daughter Mary Merciers, daughter-in-law Patty Merciers; sisters Lillie Layne, Bertha Slatton and Hester Lawson; brothers Wesley, Hubert, Leonard, and Lawrence Fults; and grandson Christopher Coppinger.
Those left to cherish her memories are: sons Ed and Glenna Merciers, Jerry and AnnaLou Merciers and Wade Merciers; grandchildren Teresa and Terry Lawson, Pam and David McElroy, Roxann and Jim Alder, Cheryl and Kevin White, Michael and Susan Merciers, Jalbo and Holly Merciers and Tamara Merciers; great-grandchildren Taylor and Brandi Lawson, Trevor and Brittany Lawson, Brittany and Travis Randolph, Chase White, Alisha Nance, Delanie Merciers, Kyler Merciers, Ashley and Chad Nunley, Noah and Megan Alder, Mac Lawson, Georgia, Houston, and Dalton McElroy, Joseph Merciers, Lexi Westmoreland, and Mikayla Layne; great-great-grandchildren Wesley Nunley, Cayden Green, Bethany Nunley, Weston Nance, Hanson Nance, Paisley Coppinger, Tayven Nunley. Sawyer Lawson, and Sadie Lawson.
Visitiation is 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12 and 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13 at Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home, Inc.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14 at Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home, Inc.
