Robert Lee Pitner
Robert Lee Pitner (Bob/Pit) 78, of Chattanooga, TN departed this life Saturday October 21, 2017 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his wife Ophelia Pitner, daughter, Beverly Pitner, parents James and Corine Pitner, brothers Leroy and Wallace Pitner.
He leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters Valerie and Robbie Pitner (Suffolk County NY) and Maria Pitner McGill (Timothy) (New York City), and an honorary daughter Keisha Sales (Chattanooga); five grandchildren Shenequa, Shentell, and Alicia Pitner (Suffolk County NY), Cory and Tyrell Pitner (Chattanooga); ten great grandchildren, four sisters Mary Catherine Pitner (Chicago, IL), Emma Davis (Oceanside CA), Mattie Jennings, Angelette McGrew (Chattanooga), one brother Fred (Sandra) Pitner (Chattanooga) one sister-in-law Lina Pearl Sales (Chattanooga); and a special dear friend Mary Adams (Chattanooga).
A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
The body will lie in state after noon Saturday, October 28, 2017 and the family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2017 at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 3777 Wilcox Blvd, Chattanooga TN, 37411 following interment in Forest Hills Cemetery, Chattanooga TN, 37411 on Sunday, October 29, 2017.
