Upcoming Barking Legs Events Includes KJO: Miles Davis Tribute Bigband

The Knoxville Jazz Orchestra will perform Miles Davis' Grammy Award-winning album Bitches Brew live at Barking Legs Theater on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

The resident jazz enthusiast, Bruce Kaplan reports, "The album was nothing short of revolutionary, and it influenced forever the worlds of jazz, rock and funk."

Barking Legs will host Jazz in the Lounge Wednesday at 7 p.m. with the Alan Wyatt Quartet, featuring Shawn Parkinson on guitar, Alan on sax, David Schwab on bass and Stephen Humphries on drums.  Admission is free. 

The Floor Is Yours explores the theme Ancestors Friday at 8 p.m. Host Marcus Ellsworth will introduce an eclectic group of performers who will each offer up their own unique perspective on family past. And beginning this week, tickets will be available online as well as at the door for $10.
