Lynn, Mary Kate Cummings (Tunnel Hill)

Mary Kate Cummings Lynn, 62, of Tunnel Hill, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 3, 2017. A native of Raeford, NC, she has lived in the Catoosa County area for the past 47 years, and was formerly of Lumberton, NC. She was a former bus driver for Catoosa County where she worked for 20 years, and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Ringgold.

She is preceded in death by her father, Mitchell Davis; mother, Cilla Cummings Sewell; and brother, Peter Cummings.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Donald Eugene Lynn of Tunnel Hill; three children, Cynthia Diane Chapman of Tunnel Hill, Mary Michelle Keener of Tunnel Hill, and Michael David (Jamie) Lynn of Tunnel Hill; two sisters, Ludie Barbour of Maxton, NC, and Daisey Maye Cummings of Maxton, NC; three brothers, David Earl Cummings of Maxton, NC, Junior Ray Sewell of Tunnel Hill, and Carl Lee Sewell of Jacksonville, NC; seven grandchildren, Jordain Lester Keener, Tyler William Dean, Zachary David Dean, Haley Lynn Claiborne, Mykynzie Eugene Keener, Michael Donovan Lynn and Mallory Kathleen Lynn; several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home Wallis-Stewart Chapel Ringgold.
