Margaret Allen, 93, passed away on October 1, 2017 at Memorial Hospital.
She was born on Oct. 3, 1924, was raised in Chattanooga, and graduated from Howard High School in 1942.
Margaret was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Slayton and father, Ed Gordan.
She is survived by her sister, Josephine Nix, nieces and nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank friends and caretakers, Patrice Atkin, Brenda Carson, Laretta Harrison and Rosetta Johnson, and a niece who visited and cared for her.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 11 a.m. at Lakewood East Cemetery. John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
