Walker County Family Found At Motel After Levi's Call Is Issued; Douglas Turner Charged With Kidnapping

The Turner children and their mother, Jennifer Turner, have been found at a LaFayette area motel after a Levi's Call (urgent message for missing person) was issued.
 
The mother and children, ages nine years and three months, appear to be unharmed, according to Walker County Sheriff Steve Wilson.

The suspect in the investigation, Douglas Turner, was also located at the same motel. He was arrested and taken to the Walker County Jail for questioning.

 

He afterward was charged with three counts of kidnapping in relation to the abduction of his estranged wife and his two minor children.

Turner was also booked on an outstanding criminal trespassing warrant.

 

Lafayette Police Department Officer Mason Brewer located the suspect and victims at a LaFayette motel.

 

The case is being investigated by the Lafayette Police Department, Walker County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
