Enrollment Period For 12 Month Payment Plan For Bradley County Property Taxes Is Announced

  • Wednesday, November 1, 2017

Bradley County Trustee Mike Smith has announced the enrollment periods for the 12 month payment program for property taxes.  The program for the 2018 property taxes will have the first payment due on March 15, 2018.

Enrollment for the monthly payment program is currently open through Dec. 8. An additional enrollment period will be from Jan. 3, 2018, through Feb. 9, 2018.

There will be three methods of payment for this installment program, automatic withdrawal from a valid checking account, mailed payments and payments made at the Trustee’s Office.  The first payment will not be due until March 15, 2018.  The decision on the amount to be paid each month is the sole responsibility of the taxpayer.  Other requirements of the program will be fully explained during the enrollment process.  If you wish to have the payment drawn from a valid checking account, a voided check will be required when you sign up.

Trustee Smith said, “The 12 month payment plan has become an extremely popular program that assists Bradley County property owners in the payment of their property taxes.  The number of parcels included in this plan has exceeded expectations, and we are confident the numbers will increase.”  Bradley County currently has 1,336 parcels enrolled in the twelve month program for 2018, the seventh year the program has been offered.

The Trustee’s Office also has a partial payment program for current and delinquent real and personal taxes.  This program allows partial payments through Feb. 28, 2018.

For additional information, call the Trustee’s Office at 423-728-7247.  The Trustee’s Office is temporarily located at 1801 Keith Street, at the intersection of 17th Street and Keith Street.
