Baylor's Headmaster Elected To SAIS Board

Baylor headmaster Scott Wilson has been elected to serve on the Board of Trustees of the Southern Association of Independent Schools in 2018. 

The SAIS, which includes over 375 independent K-12 schools and represents over 200,000 students, exists to strengthen member schools by providing high quality accreditation processes, comprehensive professional growth opportunities, and visionary leadership development programs. 

Headmaster Wilson, who is chairman of the board for the Tennessee Association of Independent Schools and twice served on the board of the Georgia Independent School Association, graduated from Baylor in 1975 and earned a B.A.

from the University of Georgia and an M.Ed. from the University of South Carolina. He became Baylor’s ninth headmaster in 2009 after serving as head of Brookstone School and Valwood School.
