The Salvation Army To Deliver Thanksgiving Meals To Area Shut-Ins

  • Wednesday, November 22, 2017
The Salvation Army has identified more than 500 low-income seniors who would not otherwise have a Thanksgiving meal and are homebound. As a result of our generous community, these seniors will enjoy a Thanksgiving meal of turkey, potatoes, green beans, dressing, cranberry sauce, a roll and pie. The Salvation Army will also serve federal inmates and their families. They expect to serve more than 500 meals on Thanksgiving.

Packing and delivery of these meals will take place at The Salvation Army at 800 McCallie Ave.
at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day.

As we continue moving toward the holidays, volunteer opportunities can be found at www.csarmy.org or by calling The Salvation Army at 423-756-1023.

Monetary donations are also needed to assist with this year’s increase in Christmas need. Donations can be made by visiting www.csarmy.org, by calling 1-800-Sal-Army or mailed to: The Salvation Army, 822 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, Tn. 37403.
