Kermit Lee Buffington, Sr. 83, passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017.
He was retired from Wheland Foundry after 31 years and was a member of Rising Fawn United Methodist Church. Kermit enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren. He trained horses, mules and beagle dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mike and Winnie Buffington; grandchildren, Sydney Rumley and Alley Rumley; six brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his loving family, his wife, Dorothy Buffington; daughters, Diane (Ted) Rumley, Sharron (Mike) Frady and Marsha (Dale) Allan; son, Kermit (Amy) Buffington, Jr.; sister, Jackie Byers; brother, Ben L. Buffington; eight grandchildren, Ted (Desiree) Rumley, Michael Garner, Dusty (Jacey) Rumley, Avery (Rachel) Sexton, Andria (Russ) Powers, Chris (Megan Haswell) Allan, Cory (Connie) Durham and Andrew Buffington; ten great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of friend.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Pastor Mike King officiating. Burial will be in Trenton Baptist Cemetery.
Visitation will be on Monday, from 4-8 p.m., and Tuesday, from 10-11 a.m.
