Jewell Anita Cherry, 91, of Hixson, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 7, 2017.
 
 A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was retired from Lovemans after many years of service.
 
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother with a great sense of humor her entire life, who loved her Lord Jesus. She loved playing golf, and one time got a hole in one.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce W. Cherry; mother and step-father, Nora Ellen and Harry Patten and five siblings.
 
Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Cherry, Chattanooga and Linda (Rawlin) Parker, Hixson; grandson, Ty (Neelie) Parker; great-grandson, Max Parker.
 
The family would personally like to thank the staff of Soddy Daisy Health Care for their loving care and kindness the past 12 years.
 
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, in the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Reverend Travis Ballinger officiating. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Pet Placement Center at: petplacementcenter.com
 
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153.
