Morning Pointe Celebrates Parent Company's 20-Year Milestone with Yearlong Community Service Campaign

Morning Pointe Senior Living campuses in the Chattanooga area will celebrate the parent company’s 20th anniversary during the month of February.

During each event, the Morning Pointe communities will announce the official kickoff of a yearlong community service project. To celebrate two decades of being a premier choice for senior care, Morning Pointe launches has launched “Make Your Mark” a company-wide campaign with goal of giving back 20,000 hours through volunteer efforts and philanthropic projects during 2017. The company’s website will also feature a Memory Wall, showcasing memories and community service activities shared by Morning Pointe residents, families, associates, volunteers and partners across five Southeastern states.

On Thursday, Feb.16, from 5-7 p.m., Morning Pointe of Collegedale at Greenbriar Cove and The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Collegedale will honor Morning Pointe’s milestone with local and state dignitaries, including State Representative Mike Carter; Chester Bankston, vhairman of the Hamilton County Commission; Collegedale Mayor Katie Lamb; and Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger; entertainment by Forte Springs, refreshments, hors d’oeuvres and door prizes. The event will be held at Morning Pointe of Collegedale at Greenbriar Cove, at 9650 Leyland Drive in Ooltewah.

Morning Pointe of Hixson, at 5501 Old Hixson Pike in Hixson, will host a Health and Wellness Expo on Thursday, Feb. 16, from 2-4 p.m. Blood pressure, breast cancer, vision/hearing and balance screenings will be administered courtesy of local healthcare providers, vendors and community partners. Local dignitaries will be present during the event, and guests can enjoy live entertainment, refreshments, prizes and giveaways.

Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford and The Lantern at Morning Pointe Alzheimer’s Center of Excellence, Chattanooga will each host a Homecoming Celebration on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 5-7 p.m., with heavy hors d’oeuvres, dancing, tours and special guest speakers. Homecoming attire is recommended. The event will take place at both the assisted living and memory care communities in Chattanooga: Morning Pointe of Chattanooga at Shallowford is at 7719 Shallowford Road. The Lantern is at 7620 Shallowford Road.
