Road To Nightfall Finale Is Saturday Night

  • Tuesday, March 21, 2017

The Road to Nightfall finale competition is Saturday. This will mark the finale in the six-part competition for one local band to win a headlining spot in the 2017 Nightfall Concert Series.  Beginning at 8 p.m. at Miller Plaza, watch the five winning bands from the semi-finals compete in front of a panel of music industry professionals who determine the winner of the headlining spot as well as a $1,500 cash prize. A $10 donation for attendees is suggested to show support for Chattanooga’s local music scene.

In case of rain, please check the Road to Nightfall Facebook page or gigcityproductions.com for the latest updates.

The public voted the winner of the first night’s performance to be Walrus and the second winning spot was earned by Over Easy. Last week’s winners were Mountain Cove Bluegrass on Thursday night, Josh Driver and Dixieland Playboys on Friday night, and Monday Night Social on Saturday. These five bands will be competing for first place in Saturday’s showdown.

Food from Adelle’s Creperie will be served throughout the evening, as well as a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Bands competing in Road to Nightfall will each have 15 minutes to play, and all songs must be original. The other four finalist bands will each earn a guaranteed spot as an opening band during the Nightfall season.

Past winners of Road to Nightfall include: Nick Lutsko, Ryan Oyer Band, Function, Amber Fults and the Ambivalent Lovers, WTM Blues Band, and Strung Like a Horse.  All have used this experience to widen their fan base and further their musical careers

Road To Nightfall is sponsored by Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union, Soundcorps, Chattanooga Presents, The Soundry, Songbirds, Metro Tone, Diamondback Stringworks, Vida Flo, Wonder Press, City Stream Powered by EPB Fiber Optics and Click Click Boom.
