Kenneth Leon Smith, 69, of LaFayette, Georgia, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Hill; mother and step-father, Polly and Hank Hinley; sister, Shelby “Peanut” Ingram; and brother, Wayne Hill.
He is survived by his wife, Lisa Smith; daughters, Angie Wilson, Wendy York, Melissa Smith and Cammie Simpson all of LaFayette; son, Andy Avans of LaFayette; sister, Sue Young Densmore of LaFayette; brother, Jim Hill of LaFayette; several grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Wilbanks Memorial Chapel will be Friday, March 24 at 12:30 p.m. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, March 23 from 6-9 p.m.
