Colucci, Jeanette Constance "Connie" (Etowah)

Jeanette Constance “Connie” Colucci , 84, of Etowah, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at her residence on Friday, March 17, 2017. 

She graduated from nursing school in 1963 and was employed in Massachusetts as a LPN for 28 years and later as an ombudsman for the State of Massachusetts.  She was active in the Catholic Church, being a charismatic catholic, taught classes and served and led several Cursillo weekends, both in Massachusetts and in her home church in Tennessee.  She valued her faith and friendships and trusted Jesus in her life first.

Mrs. Colucci was born in Brooklyn, NY to Exilda St. Peter and Eugene Guimond, their only child and was raised in Medford, MA.  She grew up in a Catholic family, attended catholic grammar schools and married her high school sweetheart, Fredrick Colucci in 1951.  They were married 50 years until his death in July of 2004 and they had relocated to Athens, TN in 1995. 

Mrs. Colucci is survived by two children, Fredrick Barry Colucci and Robin Colucci Muller; four grandchildren, Joshua Colucci, Christina Muller Andrews, John Muller and Andrew Muller; three great-grandchildren, Kyle Bankes, Alec Bankes and Addyson Harmon; and other extended family members and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Saturday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Athens. Entombment will follow the mass at McMinn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

Visitation will be Saturday prior to the service from 10-11 a.m., also at the church.

Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Etowah is in charge of the arrangements.
