Rodney Elliott North, 59, of East Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017.

Mr. North was born and raised in East Ridge. He was a member of Crosspath Church and a graduate of East Ridge High School Class of 1975 and Tennessee Technical University Class of 1979. He was a member of IBEW since 1981. He worked many years for Duncan Electric as well as several other companies in Chattanooga. Rod was an avid nature enthusiast, coffee ambassador and respected co-worker. He was most importantly an adoring father, devoted son, and loving brother.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Freda North; and sister, Renee McKaig.

Surviving are his daughters, Jordan North and Natalie (Kanaan) Crutchfield; father, Jim North; sister, Rhonda (John) Ward; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Saturday, and 1-2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, at the funeral home with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating.

Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
