SonRise Resurrection Pageant Tickets To Be Distributed On Monday At Hamilton Place

  • Wednesday, March 29, 2017

Free SonRise Resurrection Pageant tickets will be distributed to community members on Monday, beginning at 7 a.m. on the second floor of Hamilton Place Mall in front of JC Penney. Typically, all 7,000 tickets are given away in 90 minutes.

The annual pageant portrays Christ’s last days with 500 costumed cast members, live animals, and dramatic sets. The one-mile walk-through event recreates six interactive scenes from the Bible.

Started in 1996, attendance at this event ranges from 9,000 to 10,000 people annually. SonRise is a collaboration of Southern Adventist University and the Collegedale Church of Seventh-day Adventists.

The SonRise Resurrection Pageant will be on Saturday, April 15. Groups depart at 8:30 a.m. then every half hour until 2:30 p.m.

Tickets are free, but required for everyone age seven and up.

No more than seven tickets will be given to any family, regardless of the church or group they represent. The person picking up tickets must be at least 16 years old.

For more information, call 423 396-2134. The event route is handicap accessible.
