The Signal Mountain High School Theater Department presents Bye Bye Birdie

The Signal Mountain High School Theatre will present their production of Bye Bye Birdie: A Musical Comedy with book by Michael Stewart, music by Charles Strouse and lyrics by Lee Adams.

All of the productions are done entirely by the Signal Mountain theatre students. The high school students engage in designing and building the full production from concept to the finished the production.

The production will be directed by John Lennon with choreography by Christi Barr and musical direction under Jan Johnson.

Review for Bye Bye Birdie:

Bye Bye Birdie tells the tale of songwriter Albert Peterson, who realizes his business will be destroyed when the hugely popular singer Conrad Birdie is drafted into the army. Romance, hilarity, mayhem, and quite a bit of dancing are featured in this musical.  The SMHS students have stepped up the production by adding an edgy element to this timeless musical.

Bye Bye Birdie will be running April 20, 21, 22 at 7 p.m. and a matinee showing April 23 at 2 p.m. All performances will take place in the Signal Mountain Middle/High School Theatre. Tickets will be $7 for students and $10 for adults, and will be provided both at the door or order online here.
