Several Special Event Street Closures Scheduled For This Weekend

Thursday, April 27:

Tennessee Aquarium 25th Anniversary Celebration: No road closures, but on April 27, the Aquarium will toast the many achievements of its first 25 years during Spring!, a one-of-a-kind dinner and social gathering taking place on the Walnut Street Bridge.

This unique locale offers attendees a symbolic perspective on the vibrant development the Aquarium was instrumental in bringing about. Pedestrians access to the bridge will be maintained. 

Chattanooga Football Club 2017 Jersey Reveal: Reggie White Blvd. will be closed from the entrance to the Chattanooga Skate Park to West 19th Street from 5pm to 10pm. Silver, Gold, and Sky Level Season Pass holders are invited to the 2nd Annual Chattanooga FC Jersey Reveal Party to be held on Thursday, April 27 at the First Tennessee Pavilion. This is when Chattanooga FC will unveil their new home, away, and goalkeeper jersey designs for the 2017 season. 

Friday, April 28

Chattanooga Market 2017: Reggie White Blvd. will be closed from the entrance to the Chattanooga Skate Park to West 19th Street from Friday, April 28 at 8am to Sunday, April 30 at 8pm. The Chattanooga Market will open this spring on Saturday, April 29th AND Sunday, April 30th for a ceremonious full weekend start to kick off the season. Chattanooga Market is the region’s largest producer-only marketplace, established to provide healthy, fresh produce, artisan foods, as well as locally-produced arts and craft wares to Chattanoogans and community visitors.

Saturday, April 29
Unwanted Motorcycle Club Run: Station Street will be closed in front of The Comedy Catch and Backstage Bar from 3pm to 11pm for this event.This ride will start at the Comedy Catch Backstage deck, where the group will have live entertainment, food and drinks. This event will raise money for the Children Hospital of Erlanger.

JDRF One Walk: One eastbound lane of Frazier Avenue will be closed from 8am to 11am for this event. JDRF One Walk has one goal: to create a world without Type 1 Diabetes. The money raised from this event supports life–changing breakthroughs that give hope to everyone impacted by Type 1 Diabetes. 

Junior League of Chattanooga's Jog-A-Nooga: No road closures, but Blue Goose Hollow Trailhead and parts of the Riverwalk will host Junior League of Chattanooga’s Jog-A-Nooga 5K and Kids Dash. The race will begin at 9:00 AM.
