Chattanooga Christian girls won two of three doubles matches and five of six in singles to defeat host Notre Dame, 7-2, Tuesday at the Champions Club in a District 7-A/AA tennis match.
In the boys match, the Irish improved to 7-3 overall and 2-2 in district play with a 9-0 win against the Chargers.
Girls Match: The Chargers, who had lost to the Irish, 5-4, earlier in the season, had key singles wins from Olivia Torbett and Ashley Rice at Nos. 5 and 6, who had lost to their Notre Dame opponent in the first match. In doubles, Torbett and Olivia Underwood also posted a win at No.2 after losing in the first meeting with Notre Dame.
Boys Match: Brothers Andrew Lisy and Bernard Lisy claimed wins at No.1 and 2 singles, respectively, and No.1 doubles to lead the Irish to the win.
