John L. Robbins, 84, of Ringgold, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, April 13, 2017.

He was born in Rome, Ga., to the late Carl and Clara Robbins and had lived in the Rome area for most of his life before moving to the Ringgold area in 2011. John was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He retired from Carolina Freight in 1998 after more than 22 years of service as a Diesel Mechanic and will be truly missed by all who knew him.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ann Robbins; son, Stevie John Robbins; three brothers and wo sisters. 

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Ann and Wesley Kinard; son, William Scott Robbins all of Rome; brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Patricia Robbins of Ringgold; brother-in-law, Edward Chastain; sister-in-law, Lucille Ingram; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and numerous extended family and friends.

Graveside services will be held at noon on Saturday, April 29, in the Rome Memorial Park South with Brother Danny Little officiating. Online guest book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
