Barbie Standefer Receives NSDAR Community Service Award

The Chickamauga Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution honored longtime community volunteer and Chickamauga Chapter member Barbie Standefer with the NSDAR Community Service Award.

This award comes after many decades of community service to numerous organizations including the Performing Arts League, Tennessee Lung Association, Friends of Special Needs Children, The Buz Standefer Lung Center at CHI Memorial Hospital, Signal Centers and Habitat for Humanity. 

The NSDAR Award for Community Service recognizes unpaid voluntary community service of individuals and organizations. The recipient must have contributed to the community in an outstanding manner through cultural, educational, humanitarian, patriotic, historical, citizenship, or environmental conservation endeavors or by organizing or participating in community activities.
