William Daniel "Dan" Wiggs III passed away on May 23, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elizabeth Wiggs; his wife, Virginia Wiggs and daughter Kristina Wiggs Smith.
Dan is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and Todd Varwig, son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Melissa Wiggs, sister, Anita Missal, son-in-law Rick Smith, grandchildren, Rachel (Rex) Gambell, Joel Smith, Tyler (Sara) Varwig, Connor Varwig and Addison Wiggs, several nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Home at 4506 Hixson Pike, Hixson.
A service will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. with military honors.
