The Chattanooga Lookouts bats exploded for nine runs in a 9-2 victory over the Montgomery Biscuits in front of a crowd of 4,527 at AT&T Field. The second place Lookouts trail the Tennessee Smokies by 1 1/2 games.

After a scoreless first inning, the Lookouts offense kicked into gear.

Outfielder Travis Harrison led off the innings with a double and scored on a double by Dan Gamache. A wild pitch led to another run while Levi Michael delivered a two run single to make it 4-0.

An inning later the momentum continued as Dan Rohlfing hit a single with two on to give the home team their fifth run of the day. Ryan Walker then stepped up to the plate and crushed a three run homer to bring the score to 8-0.

The eight run lead was all starting pitcher Felix Jorge would need. The righty improved to 5-1 with seven shutout innings in his second straight seven inning outing.

Once Jorge exited in the eighth Raul Fernandez came into the game. The reliever yielded two runs, but that was it to clinch the victory.

Chattanooga outhit the Biscuits 12 to 8 in an error-less game.

Tyler Brashears (1-1) went 2 2/3 innings, allowing eight runs and eight hits in the Southern League game.
