Back Alley Galleries Project Opens With First Friday Festival Series In Downtown Cleveland

  • Thursday, June 1, 2017
The Thrive Regional Partnership announced the grand opening of Cleveland's Back Alley Gallery project this Friday from 4:30-6 p.m. in downtown Cleveland, one half block east of the Courthouse Square.

The event will unveil the artwork to be displayed permanently in the doorways of the alley, as well as feature live music, storytelling by the Cleveland Storytelling Guild and an art show.

Funded by the Lyndhurst Foundation and supported by downtown merchants and the city of Cleveland, the project is a vital step towards turning downtown Cleveland into a thriving arts, culture and innovation district for the region, Thrive officials said.

The grand opening celebration will be followed by the First Friday Festival on the Cleveland Courthouse Square from 6-9 p.m.
