Judy Chavous
Judy Charlene Chavous, 66, of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, passed away on June 19, 2017.
She was born on Sept. 1, 1950, to the late Robert “Bob” and Susie Combs. Judy has been a lifelong resident of this area. She loved being with her family and taking care of them.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Peak and brothers Franklin and William Combs.
She is survived by her husband, Ken Chavous; son, Chris and Leslie Peak of Benton, daughter, Karel and Randy Zirk of Fort Oglethorpe; stepdaughter, Katie and Russell Roddey of Greenville, SC; step grandchildren, Tiffany Casson, Steven Jackson, Faith and Dylan Roddy, two grand dogs Memphis and Maverick, step great-grandchildren, Kolton, Anna, and Gracie; beloved nephews and nieces, a countless list of friends, and her beloved dog “Coco.”
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. at Zion Baptist Church at 953 Parksville Road, Benton, TN 37307 on Thursday, June 22.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 23, at the church with Reverend Mike Hazlewood and Reverend John Parker officiating. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery with Steven Jackson, Tom Combs, Jeff Combs, Thomas Combs Jr., Brandon Williams, and Caleb Combs serving as pallbearers.
