LaVerne “Bunny” Phillips, 78, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on June 25, 2017. 

She worked at and attended Highland Park Baptist Church and she was an active member at Brainerd Hills Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Rev. Cecil Eaker and Dr. Preson Phillips, Jr., father, Edward Bishop; and mother, Pearl (Nolan) Dunn, a brother; Charles Dunn, and one granddaughter; Misty Corley.

Left behind to cherish Bunny’s memory are her daughter, Nora White; sister, Sue Tucker, both of Chattanooga, step-children, Betsi (Mike) Calhoun and Tom (Fay) Phillips, both of Schroon Lake, NY., and Kitty (Gary) Austin, Tallahassee, FL., 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Bunny’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Friday, June 30, at 10:30 a.m. with Dr. Richard Mason officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday June 29, from 4–8 p.m.

She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery.
