Cordell, James Ronald

James Ronald Cordell, 68, of Chattanooga passed away on Monday, June 26, 2017. He was a graduate of Central High School and attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where he studied Aerospace Engineering. Later he was employed by Pratt Whitney where he worked on engine development. Mr. Cordell was a member of the Wauhatchie United Methodist Church. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Kathleen Cordell.

Surviving include his father Frank Cordell of Chattanooga; brother Charles (Faye) Cordell of Chattanooga; sister Karen (Ben) Hetzler of Hixson; several nephews and one niece.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 29 at Lakewood Memory Garden West with Rev. Tommy Messer officiating. No visitation will be held. Arrangements by the Ryan Funeral Home and Crematory, Trenton, Ga.
