Shirley Lewis
Shirley Maupin Lewis, 78, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017, at a health care facility in Murfreesboro.
She was born in Bradley County and graduated in 1956 from Bradley Central High School. Shirley was a retiree of Creeks Bend Golf Club in Hixson after 30 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Dewey and Flora Ellen Massengill Maupin; and brother, James Earl Maupin.
Survivors include brother, Wendell Maupin and wife, Jane of Cleveland; sisters, Jean Doyle of Hixson, Carolyn Chewning of Murfreesboro and Debbie Wetzel and husband, Steve of Ringgold; 17 nieces and nephews; 29 great-nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
The service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 9, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Hood officiating. Interment will follow in the Massengill section of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery with Coy Maupin, Aaron Maupin, Brian Hood, Greg Dagnan, Steve Conway and Daniel Swafford serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
Her family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home and on Sunday from 1-1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
