Polytech Academy Opens At Chattanooga State's Kimball Site

  • Thursday, September 14, 2017

The Polytech Academy opened at Chattanooga State’s Kimball site on Aug. 28. Students are taking CAD Engineering Drawing I, Mathematics for Engineering Technology, Blueprint Reading and Analysis, and College Success.

Thanks to the LEAP grant, the Polytech at Kimball classroom has new computer stations for each student along with 3D printers, 3D scanners, and an injection mold for the classroom.

The Polytech classroom is a step above other classrooms and a perfect learning environment for our students.

During the student’s time in Polytech Academy, they will go on industry tours and complete job shadowing with local industries. These opportunities will provide clarity for students when moving forward into the workforce. Chattanooga State looks forward to seeing the positive impact that Polytech Academy will have in Marion County.
