Ruby Elizabeth Marr McCusiton McCulley, was born on April 25, 1930.  She went home to be with her Heavenly Father and other family members who went before her, on Sunday, September 24, 2017. She went peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Her family was the love of her life.  She enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking in her early and healthy years.

She was born and raised in Cleveland, Tn. She worked in several factories throughout the years and also did baby-sitting. She was fondly known as “GG” to her great-grandchildren, but also to lots of other children that she cared for. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church for many years.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Thomas Eugene McCulley; parents, Kins and Beulah Marr; brother, Frederick Marr and sisters, Christine Lindsey and Charlotte Stafford.

She is survived by her two daughters, Rosa Lee Botts (Jimmy) of Cleveland and Linda Dashiell of Nashville; three grandchildren, Sonya Richardson (Frankie) of Nashville, Barry Botts (Marlene) of Atlanta and Kevin Botts (Lyndsay) of Nashville; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Wallace Varnell officiating.  Interment will follow in Swafford Cemetery with Barry Botts, Kevin Botts, A.L. Lindsey, Brandon Botts, Travis Allmon and Gene Williams serving as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of the bagpipes will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5–8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 28, at the funeral home.
