Legislative Panel To Hold 1st Meeting On Legalizing Marijuana For Medical Use In Tennessee

Rep. Jeremy Faison (R–Cosby) and Senator Steve Dickerson (R–Nashville) announced the first meeting of the Joint Committee On Medical Cannabis.

The event will be the first in a series of gatherings scheduled to study, evaluate, analyze, and undertake a comprehensive review regarding whether the legalization of cannabis for medicinal purposes is in the state’s best interest, they said.

The group will also make recommendations about future legislation to members of the Tennessee General Assembly during the upcoming 2018 legislative session.

It will be Sept. 21 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tennessee Tower, Nashville Room 1, 312 Rosa L. Parks Ave.
