Jo-Ann Barrow, 78, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on January 13, 2018.

She was born on September 3, 1939, to the late Henry and Mary Grimes. Jo-Ann was a lifelong resident of this area and she enjoyed reading and traveling.

In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her son, Carlos Cartwright; grandson, Lee Duckett; and brother, Junior Grimes.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 48 years, Billy Barrow; son, Scott Barrow (Alicia); daughters, Debbie Downs (Craig) and Sheila Price; brothers, Charles Grimes; grandchildren, Holly Barrow and Cole Cartwright. In addition to these, she leaves many extended family members and friends. 

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Lakewood Memorial Gardens East at 4621 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37411. The family will have a viewing for friends and family from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, Tn. 37311.
