Peggy Jean Lambert Fitzgerald, 71, of Ringgold, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018. She was born to the late E.D. and Dovie Elizabeth York Lambert in Bridgeport, Al., has been a resident of North Georgia since 1960 and was of the Christian faith. Peggy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who will be greatly missed.
She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 45 years, Clarence M. Fitzgerald; grandchild, Jamie Tomlin; sisters, Mary Lambert Jones and Brenda Prigmore; and brother, Lee Lambert.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Lynn Flegal; grandchildren, Tiffany (Dustin) Turley, William Flegal, Jr., Ashley Bowman and Angel Tomlin; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 31 in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, all day on Tuesday and prior to leaving the funeral home on Wednesday.
