Sherman Michael Pelletier, 75, of Decatur passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at his residence.

He was born in Topsham, Maine and had been a resident of Decatur for the past four years coming from Maine. He was a fun loving person who enjoyed helping people. He proudly served in the United States Navy in the Pacific Reserve Fleet during the Vietnam Conflict. Sherman was a Catholic by faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emille and Leona Pelletier; a brother, Gene Pelletier; and a sister, Barbara Mullin.

Survivors include a daughter, Anna Slinger of Decatur; a grandson, Roger Robert of Maine; and two brothers, Ronald Pelletier of Arkansas and Maurice Pelletier of Kentucky.

A memorial service with military honors will be held at Bowers Funeral Home, Sunday, Oct. 14, at 3 p.m. with Rev. Max Redman officiating. There will be no visitation.
