This year’s Hamilton Sings will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at First Baptist Church on Gateway Avenue.  Hamilton Sings is a one-day elementary honor choir event that will include fifth-grade students from every Hamilton County school.  Approximately 160 students will participate in this year’s annual musical experience.

Selected performers will participate in musical workshops during the day on Tuesday and perform a free concert that night at 6 pm.

at First Baptist Church.  Hamilton Sings is led by teachers from Hamilton County Schools. The teachers lead workshops and rehearsals with the children from 8:00 a.m. until time for the evening concert.

We are proud to unite communities with music, and excited for how those connections will serve our community as students become citizens and leaders,” said Claire Stockman, lead teacher for the arts for Hamilton County Schools. “There will also be a huge announcement about the arts in our schools at this year’s event.”

The community is welcome at Hamilton Sings, and admission is free.  First Baptist Church is at 401 Gateway Ave. in Chattanooga.
