The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga men's tennis team scored five wins on the opening day of the Louisville Fall Invitational today.
Freshman Tomas Rodriguez continued his hot start to his collegiate career with two more wins today. He defeated Ball State's Mark Guzina (6-4, 6-3) in the opening round of the A Singles. He then advanced to the semifinals with a (7-5, 6-3) win over Lipscomb's Jorge Ortegon.
Sophomore Kaisei Kuroki added the other singles win in the opening match of the D Singles bracket. He defeated Bellarmine's Nick Johnson (7-5, 7-5).
Rodriguez teamed with Kuroki for an 8-4 win against Austin Peay's Edison and Andersson. Senior Paul LaHue and freshman Bo Nash also had a win in the D Doubles. They played a mixed team of Illinois State's Zacharias Rasmusson and Bellarmine's Andrew Jones (8-4).
