Federal Appeals Court Rejects Appeals Of Dyer, Brennan In Fraud Case

  • Monday, November 26, 2018

A federal appeals court has upheld the convictions of two men who were convicted of carrying out a $4.9 million swindle that included many Chattanooga victims.

Doug Dyer earlier was sentenced to serve 60 months in federal prison, and James Brennan was sentenced to 48 months.

They began serving their terms last Dec. 1.

A number of people who lost large sums of money after "investing" with the pair appeared at the sentencing hearing.
