Longtime Chattanooga Resident Lynn Perryman Critically Injured After Being Hit By Car In Memphis

A longtime Chattanooga resident was critically injured when she was struck by a car in Memphis on Sunday night.

Lynn Perryman was struck as she was crossing the street near AutoZone Park around 6 p.m. The location was on Union Avenue near Fourth Street.

Police are looking for the driver, who fled the scene.

Perryman was found lying in the road.

She was rushed to a hospital with multiple injuries. Family members said she underwent lengthy surgery to deal with numerous broken bones, but her vital signs were good.

Police said debris found in the road indicated the vehicle was a white Nissan.

Ms. Perryman worked for several years at CSAS and later Harrison Elementary School.  Two of her daughters graduated from CSAS and her third daughter graduated from Center for Creative Arts.
