A tractor trailer overturned on a downtown freeway near rush hour on Wednesday morning, blocking eastbound I-24.
It was at Exit 178 at the intersection with U.S. 27.
The accident was reported at 6:54 a.m.
It was not expected to be cleared until shortly before 10 a.m.
TDOT said Eastbound lanes are affected with lanes closed. Westbound lanes are not affected.
