McCallie Advances To Championship At City Beautiful Invitational

The McCallie boys basketball team won their third straight game on Friday and will advance to the Championship of the City Beautiful Invitational at First Academy in Orlando. 

In the semifinals on Friday, McCallie beat host First Academy 55-50 in two overtimes. 

Eric Rivers finished with 14 points including eight in overtime.  Shannon Walker had 10 points and Anthony Watkins had nine.  

On Thursday, McCallie beat West Orange High School 53-52  Neill Dickey had 11 points and Eric Rivers had 10. Tony Jackson finished with 9.

McCallie opened the tournament on Wednesday with a 58-28 win over Olympia.  13 McCallie players scored in that win.   Brady Ragland was the only player in double figures with 11.  

They will play Mainland High School on Saturday at 8 p.m. in the title game.
