Charles Kenneth Dill, 73, of Ooltewah, passed unexpectedly on Saturday, February 17, 2018.

Charles was born in Chattanooga and was a graduate of Ooltewah High School. He was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church, retired from Combustion Engineering as a Boilermaker, and was a US Army Veteran serving two tours in the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Dill; and parents, Chester and Amanell Dill.

Surviving are his son, Wesley Dill; granddaughter, Skyler; grandson, Haiden; sisters, Carol Barbrow, Patricia Rogers, Betty (Bobby) Allmon and Tammy Baggett; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, at the funeral home. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home with Reverend Toby Brogdon officiating.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.

Arrangements are by the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
