Donald Garner

Donald Weston Garner, of Red Bank, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018. He was 91.

 

Don was a graduate of Red Bank High School and the University of Chattanooga. He worked for the railroad for 40 years.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife of over  50 years, Jewell Garner, his son, Tim Morris, his parents, Louie and Pearl Garner, his sister, Gail Ripple, and his nephew, Kent McGee.

 

He is survived by his granddaughter, Laura Morris, his grandson, Tim Morris, Jr. and wife, Susan, his great-granddaughters, Catherine, Avery and Samantha Morris, his daughter-in-law, Judy Morris, his niece, Robin Godsey, his niece, Suzanne Hammond and husband, Krew, and his nephew, Taylor Boyd.

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday, Feb. 24, from 10-11 a.m. at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson. There will then be a graveside service at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

 

In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions may be made in Don’s name to a charity close to your heart.

 

Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
