George Centers, 61, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday afternoon, February 26, 2018, at the Wood Dale Health Care Center. 

George was born on December 5, 1956 in Dalton, a son of the late Fred and Loma Gladden Centers. 

George is survived by his sisters, Teresa Centers and Virginia Williams; brothers, Freeman Centers and William Centers, all of Dalton; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members survive. 

A service to celebrate the life of George Centers will be held on Friday, March 2, at 11 a.m. from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Billy Joe Cochran officiating. 

George will be laid to rest at the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with Tessia Centers, Anthony Tackett, Anthony Bright, and Brandon Williams serving as pallbearers. 

The Center’s family will receive friends on Friday, March 2, from 10 a.m. until the service hour.
