George Clark
George Murray “Pete” Clark, Jr., 82, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on March 11, 2018.
He was born on April 28, 1935, to the late George Clark Sr. and Charlotte Conklin Clark.
Pete was an insurance agent by trade and worked in that field for many years. He moved to Cleveland in 2001 and has lived in this area since then. Pete was an avid sailor and member of a sailing club. He also loved flying model airplanes and was a member of the Jaycees of Chester, Pa.
In Cleveland, Pete was a member of Restoration Fellowship Church and he worked at the Caring Place.
Pete leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 58 years, Sandra Wootten Clark; two daughters Holly Jeanne Krauss (Robert) and Wendy Holcombe (Tommy); sister Caren C. Vestal; grandchildren: Hannah Marie Krauss, Leisl Rose Krauss, Peter Isaiah Krauss, and Jessica Ashley Holcombe.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Companion Funeral Home at 2419 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, Tn. 37311.
A celebration of life service will follow the visitation at 1 p.m. with Pastor James Cossey officiating. The family will hold a private interment at Tasso United Methodist Cemetery.
