Lavonne Lowrance Fowler Blood, 93, of Ringgold, passed away Monday, March 12, 2018. She was born in Catoosa County on October 16, 1924 to the late E.L. and Mary Gilbreath Lowrance and was of the Baptist faith. Lavonne was a devoted mother to her four children, and each child was her pride and joy. Her life will forever be cherished by her children and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 52 years, Richard “Dick” Blood; and three brothers, J.C. Lowrance, Vernon Lowrance and Charles Lowrance.
She is survived by her children, Peggy Dodson of Chattanooga, Mary Manuel of Ringgold, Judy (Bill) Douglas of Dalton and Glenn Fowler of Stevenson, Al.; three grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Anderson Cemetery in Ringgold, with Dr. Marvin Fowler officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank NHC in Ft. Oglethorpe and Hospice of Chattanooga for the excellent care given to their mother.
