Opening Celebration For Adam Kuby’s Adventure Trail Art Piece Is April 28

  • Wednesday, April 11, 2018

The city of Chattanooga, Public Art Chattanooga, and the Trust for Public Land will host an opening celebration of the environmental artwork and adventure trail by artist, Adam Kuby on Saturday, April 28.

The public is invited to explore South Chickamauga Creek and Greenway at the Sterchi Farm park by biking, kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and playing in this green space in the heart of East Chattanooga.

Attendees will be the first to experience “Clamber, Scramble, Traverse” an adventure trail by Adam Kuby along with food trucks, music and activities with Outdoor Chattanooga.

The celebration will be at Sterchi Farm, South Chickamauga Greenway, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

This project is sponsored by the Lyndhurst Foundation with additional support from the National Recreation and Parks Association and Disney through the Meet Me at the Park program.  “NRPA is proud to collaborate with The Walt Disney Company to help more children and families experience the benefits of play,” said Kellie May, NRPA director of health and wellness. “By increasing access to play spaces, this program will also provide new activities that support healthy lifestyles in local communities.”

Staff from city of Chattanooga and the Trust for Public Land will also present the final master plan for Sterchi Farm and provide information on upcoming improvements at the trailhead and future completion of the South Chickamauga Creek Greenway. Meet at the park to explore the public art piece and learn ways to use parks and greenways to be active, engage in healthy living, connect with nature and gather together to make memories and have fun.
