  • Wednesday, April 4, 2018

Scenic Land Development has announced a public meeting to give an update on the Hillocks Farm development at Hixson.

The meeting will be Wednesday, April 18, at 5:30 p.m. at the Hixson Community Center, 5401 School Dr.

The meeting will be convened by City Councilman Chip Henderson

Developer Duane Horton said, “Since the community’s introduction to area neighbors, we’ve worked hard to incorporate their thoughts into our plans. We have some exciting updates to share and look forward to meeting with our neighbors.”

Councilman Henderson said, “Scenic Land Company has worked with the community every step of the way to share information along each step of the development. I know the community will be eager to learn about the latest news from Hillocks Farm and I look forward to seeing so many folks join us.”

The current development plan provides for a 280-unit multi-family development, 500,000
square feet of retail space, 250,000 square feet of office space and 60 acres of green space and
open areas.

The developer is set to go before the Planning Commission on Monday at 1 p.m. on a request Request to rezone C-2 Convenience Commercial Zone to R-4 Special Zone as part of a change
to the overall Hillocks Farm Master Development Plan previously approved by City Council.

Updates will be posted on Facebook, @HillocksFarm.
