U.S. Navy Veteran Retired From McKee Bakery After 43 Years

Warren Chilcote, 89, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018.

Warren was born on Dec. 27, 1928 in Joyner, Pa. He was a veteran who proudly served in the Navy, a former member of Friendship Baptist Church, and a founding member of Grace Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for several years. He retired from McKee Bakery after 43 years as a production superintendent. He enjoyed working in his yard, and loved to play golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Warren and Susie Chilcote; and sisters, Iona Mann, and Shirley Crissman.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Chilcote; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Ben Graham and Dr. Bill Summers officiating. He will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
